Dangerous Acupuncture Points – educational Cadaver prosection – AM only

This 2 hour session will explore acupuncture points that are listed as having major cautions such as Bladder-1 around the eye, Ren Mai points such as Ren-22, and many others.

These will be demonstrated on prosected cadavers, these are cadavers that have already been dissected to expose the areas that will be explored. (The process of dissection takes many hours to perform). You will be provided with protective lab coats and gloves, and will be allowed to handle specimens during the session under guidance and supervision.

This is ideal educational Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for fully registered and qualified healthcare professionals and student; acupuncturists, osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, homeopaths, masseurs, herbalists, etc. with a keen interest in learning more about the detailed workings of the body. Please note that these sessions have been designed as professional CPD for healthcare practitioners and as such are not open to the general public.

Location
The sessions are run using the Cadaver room facilities at Kings College London, Guys Hospital, London Bridge.

Certificate of attendance
You will be provided with a certificate of attendance as evidence to your professional association and / or regulator as evidence of CPD undertaken.

There will be a maximum of 15 people on each session so you will have ample chance to see and ask all the questions you may have, and to handle the specimens, under supervision.

There will also be an opportunity for you to see the Gordon Museum of pathology, this museum is not open to the general public.

Times
The morning session runs form 10.30am to 12.30pm and the afternoon session runs form 13.30pm – 15.30pm.
