This course has been created to offer you as a participant, a profound understanding of safeguarding vulnerable and young people principles and guidelines, as well as practical knowledge of their implementation in real-world scenarios.

During the course, you will participate in a range of activities, group discussions and presentations aimed at broadening your understanding of various scenarios that may arise while safeguarding vulnerable and young people. Our experienced facilitators will be available throughout the day to address queries and provide guidance.

Upon completion of the course, you will have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective safeguarding to vulnerable and young people. You will be awarded a certification that is recognised by employers and regulatory bodies.

The course is designed to help you acquire in-depth knowledge and understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks surrounding young people’s safeguarding.

You will be equipped with practical skills and strategies that are crucial in keeping young people safe from harm and abuse.

The course covers a wide range of topics, including identifying and responding to signs of abuse or neglect, understanding the rights of young people, and effective communication with young people.

Moreover, the course’s interactive nature and engaging content make it easy for you to grasp complex concepts effortlessly.

By the end of the course, you will have gained valuable skills and knowledge that are essential for any person working with young people, including teachers, youth workers, and social workers, among others.

CPDG safeguarding vulnerable children

This qualification is suitable for you if you are working, or wishing to work, with children and young people and vulnerable people. This includes those in voluntary or unpaid positions.

Our course is suitable for professionals from various fields such as Naturopathy, Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Massage therapy, Chiropractic, Homeopathy, Yoga, Nutrition, Herbalism, and more.

You should be 16 years and older and have a basic understaing of written and spoekn English.

This qualification is assessed through and open response learner workbook.

This assessment model requires learners to provide a short response to prescribed questions within a workbook.

You will receive a Highfield Level 2 award in Safeguaridng Young people award, this is valid for 7 hours CPD and is recognised by all healthcare professions.

You will receive both an electroinic and hard copy for your files.

This workshop is classroom-based course and is undertaken over 1 day.

Paul holds a Masters in Eduction, and teaches and practices Acupuncture, Tuina, massage in Longfield, Kent. He has been in practice for 30 years, working with vulnerable and safeguarded individuals throughout this time, and practices in Kent. You will receive full acess to any online VLE elements of the course that are available.

  • Refreshments and lunch sadly are not provided.
  • You will need to bring a pen or pencil, we will be providing everything else; full colour course notes, all of the training equipment etc.
  • A course handbook will be provided; the content of the handbook will be supported by a structured PowerPoint presentations. Course handbooks and PowerPoint’s are designed to be used to support the training, as an aide mémoire.
  • Attendees are expected to annotate their handbook / notes with regards to areas and information that require specific explanations or detailed clarification.
