More about me
After moving to England in the 1990s and after raising a family, I enrolled at the University of Westminster in London and undertook a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. My desire was to combine the two disciplines and make them work together to enhance effective treatment outcomes.
The western approach to acupuncture introduced me to an evidence-based approach to clinical reasoning and the application of acupuncture within physiotherapy treatments. Paradoxically, it also brought greater understanding of the value of TCM in the modern world, as it allows the exploration of clients underlying health conditions.
My enthusiasm in using acupuncture and physiotherapy together is what helped me decide to study for a post-graduate teaching certificate, so that I could try and interest other health care practitioners the value of these disciplines.
Currently I work in private acupuncture practice in South Cambridge, in a physiotherapy practice, and am the assistant coach and head physio for the Shelford rugby club in Cambridge.
