Course outline

This is a one day practical interactive workshop that will enable you, as a participant, to learn how to integrate cupping and Guasha into your current clinical practice, gaining an insight into both the theoretical and practical basis for the integration of cupping and Guasha therapy alongside your own professional discipline.

Attending the workshop will enable you to develop new advanced acupuncture and patient handling skills, learn new techniques and practical non-invasive treatment approaches to use with your clients.

The course has been uniquely devised for practicing therapists of all disciplines, who hold professional insurances that cover them for the use of cupping and Guasha within their scope of practice, and who have an interest in developing and enhancing their clinical skills.

What will I learn?

During the workshop you will learn how to use cupping and Guasha, the clinical applications, indications, and importantly cautions of using these two clinically useful techniques.

You will learn to use three different cupping techniques;

  1. Static cupping
  2. Moving cupping
  3. Medical cupping
  4. Guasha (scraping therapy)

The course will highlight how using Cupping and Guasha can facilitate the human body’s own healing mechanisms in order to improve rehabilitation and recovery.

 


Is the course assessed?

  • Assessment is undertaken on a continuous basis by the tutor throughout the day as the workshop is a hands on practical session. As participants you will be working in pairs throughout the day.

You will receive on the day free; an ox-horn Guasha plate and a full set of colour notes.

There will only be a maximum of 20 attendees on the course, with 2 tutors, so book early to secure your place

You must consent to give and receive treatments during the training and must be over 18 years of age.

Due to the hands on practical nature of the course the minimum number of attendees required to run is 6.
